Call for artistic abstracts
Are you a theatre group that has worked on land issues?
Are you an NGO that uses art in its work?
Do you make social art?
We are reaching out to those interested in exploring socio-political issues in land and forests through artistic presentations using song, dance, theatre, play, film, photos and other media at the 4th India Land and Development Conference (ILDC). Academics, artists, activists and others are invited to bring artistic perspectives into the rich and varied discussions that feature at ILDC sessions. ILDC is the biggest land convergence platform in India for land-professionals and actors from Government, CSO, Academia, private sectors, entrepreneurs, media, international institutions. As India moves a decade closer to meeting 2030 UN Goals and gears up to address economic slowdown, ILDC2020 is focussed on institutions, innovations and information around land governance to deliberate how they connect and contribute to local and global development more inclusively and sustainably. For more on ILDC, see https://centerforland.org/ildc2020/
Creative, engaging, and transformative artistic ideas are invited from amateur and professional individuals, groups and artist companies to enhance ILDC2020 and to open up minds to fresh perspectives and new thinking on some of the most complex societal issues. Art has the power to reach out and to transform, and we would like to harness its power in our deliberations on land and development issues through dedicated sessions for artistic contributions.
