Center for Land Governance located at Bhubaneswar (India), is a unit within NR Management Consultants India Pvt. Ltd. (http://www.nrmc.co/), New Delhi involved in research, advocacy, policy analysis and capacity building of stakeholders associated with land rights, urban and rural tenure governance, gender, forest rights, livelihoods, agriculture and sustainable development.
It has established a strong network of land experts including the Land Governance Assessment Framework (LGAF) think tank and institutions within India and outside overseas. CLG works with the government (Government of India and State Governments), donors (viz. The World Bank, CARE India), Civil Society Organisations (viz. Landesa, Vasundhara, RNBA, FES, PRADAN etc.) and academic/research institutions (viz. Council for Social Development). It has a pool of professionals with good expertise in land governance and related areas in India. CLG was earlier involved in implementing LGAF, and developed a strong professional network of land experts in Indian states having experience land tenure and governance.
