ILDC provides participants, speakers, presenters, partners, sponsors unique forums for convenings, conversing, showcasing and networking around land administration and governance. We strive to expand the conversation mediums and endeavour to make ILDC2020 most relevant convergence space for all kinds of land actor engaging around land tenure and property rights in India.
As we move a decade closer to achieving SDG and India takes note of criticality of land reforms to its inclusive growth agenda, we design and adapt ILDC2020 platform to accommodate these aspirations and provide land-actors a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
4th ILDC builds a pedestal for evidence, actors and policy makers around land and development to come together to deliberate on reforms, transitions and inclusion through its themes of institutions, information and innovations.

Land Agenda 2030 Conclaves | To underline and reiterate our commitments towards land tenure security agenda of SDGs, plenary sessions called Land Agenda 2030 Conclave will discuss the SDG preparedness around Target 5 a 1 (WLR) and 1.4.2. (Land Tenure Security) and organise way forward.
The idea is to bring together key stakeholders directly or indirectly linked to and involved around SDG reporting around these targets and engage with them in form of a convening for actions through larger stakeholder engagements. The objective is to have a mapping and stock taking of the existing engagements, actors and information around land-SDG targets in India, and to deliberate on ways forward based on stakeholder suggestions. It also seeks to explore inclusive participation and strategic contributions in subsequent actions. The outcomes we expect is a canvass of SDG preparedness landscape In India, in terms of stakeholders’ perspectives along with an agreement on collaborative way forwards. The assessment of preparedness and way forward engagement will be around stakeholders, engagement and information. There will be three Plenary sessions: (1) SDG 1.4.2, (2) SDG 5 a and (3) ‘Land Policy Reforms and Agricultural Transformations. The third plenary seeks to bring together selected central and state revenue and agriculture department officials and experts to discuss how land policy reforms, particularly around land leasing, land records and inheritance laws can better contribute to agricultural transformations around doubling farm income, PMKisan, PKVY/ZBNF and also nutritional security while ensuring gender equity and inclusion. |

Disruptive Summits of Land Entrepreneur & Technology Professionals around Innovative Solutions viz. Geospatial Windows around Land Tenure Survey and Security; Big Data Analytics in Land Administration and Monitoring; Block Chain in land tenure and administration; Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications in Land Administration Land Service and Survey Delivery Models There will be about 20 such sessions running parallel in four tracks, each with about 90-105 min. |

Innovation Fair | A convergence space where new ideas, innovations, disruptions changing the course of land governance will be shared, discussed, questioned and furthered. Participants will be entrepreneurs, practitioners, projects and firms who will be provided stall-space to demonstrate their work and interact with land-communities |
Master Class | An initiative to provide opportunity for learning new and latest tools/methodologies around land governance/technology from the expert/experienced institution/professionals through interactive and/or practical hands-on sessions. There will be about 8 master classe |
Artistic and Cultural Expressions around Land Tenure | Events will be organized around artistic and cultural expressions around Land Tenure to expand the medium and outreach of land narratives. This would showcase socio-political issues in land and forests through artistic presentations using song, dance, theatre, play, film, photos and other media. Academics, artists, activists and others would bring artistic perspectives into the rich and varied discussions that feature at ILDC sessions.
Creative, engaging, and transformative artistic ideas from amateur and professional individuals, groups and artist companies would open up minds to fresh perspectives and new thinking on some of the most complex societal issues. Art has the power to reach out and to transform, and we would like to harness its power in our deliberations on land and development issues through dedicated sessions for artistic contributions. |
Networking Events | Conference will provide time and space for one-to-one, peer and group networking opportunities. There is proposal for promoting networks among land institutions in India as well as building bridges between land-researchers and practitioners while also exploring academic and media-networks around land and development. Apart from Conference registration, dinner, tea/coffee breaks, there will be spaces for specific networking events.

Like last year, there will be Land Rights Reporting Workshop with Journalists to enhance land rights reporting in India in partnership a global expert agency.
Land Administrators’ Convening around Effective & Expedited Implementation of Land Policy Reforms: This seeks to involve central and state government officials dealing with different land reforms, that has been embarked upon since last decade. The workshop seeks to deliberate on implementation issues and challenges faced vis-à-vis ongoing reforms around inheritance, land records, forest rights, land acquisition, land leasing and urban lands and explore how these constitutional mandates of welfare state can be effectively achieved through inclusive and innovative strategies. This is a step in the direction of building state and non-state capacities around land reforms. We are in discussion with experts and institutions in India and abroad with relevant experience and expertise.

Post conference events | Land Data Dialogue to build Local Capacity towards Open land data Repository: This event seeks to bring together land data actors from government and non-government agency and brainstorm how issues around land information availability, access, standards and privacy can be improved to ensure more informed conversations, actions and decisions.
As part of expanding engagements with private sector, we are planning post-conference events in form of Corporate Meets around Responsible and Sustainable Land Investments & Managing Land Tenure Risks.
