Details of Mr.Jayesh Bhatia
Jayesh Bhatia has over 18 years of experience in the natural resources management and the rural development sector. With post graduate degrees from the prestigious Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal and University of Oxford, he has worked with a range of organisations and institutions. He has been engaged with consultancy and research assignments supported by various clients addressing rural institutional development, capacity building, monitoring & evaluation, climate change adaptation, scouting and documenting rural innovations. He has led and co-ordinated multicultural & multi-agency teams in delivering complex assignments for various donors and has worked across India, PDR Laos, North Korea, United Kingdom and Kenya.
Mr. Jayesh's expertise lies in problem analysis, the development of work plans and logical frameworks, development of project and programme budgets, contract negotiations, financial management and compliance. His belief in giving people a chance to participate in framing policies impacting them has seen him engaged with Policy and Communication Projects. He has worked on promoting, brokering and communicating policy change by working closely with the governments, international organisation, donors, NGOs and communities.
Mr.Jayesh is a proud recipient of the Mitchell Young Scholar award by HARC's Center for Global Studies and Rice University's Energy and Environmental Systems Institute to explore the transition to sustainable development.
